Abstract
The at this moment available treatment options for vitiligo are considered insufficient by the majority of patients. The recent discovery of resident memory T cells as key players in vitiligo pathogenesis results in new treatment options. The Lancet publication on the results of the phase 2 study on the topical jak (1 and 2) kinase inhibitor ruxolitinib in patients with non-segmental vitiligo marks a new step towards more effective therapy for vitiligo patients.
