Abstract

The GammaKnife-based treatment of trigeminal neuralgia is well-established and was firstly reported by Lars Leksell in 1971. Recent advances in linac-based stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) approaches have shown efficacy as an acceptable alternative modality. This chapter summarizes the SRS treatment for trigeminal neuralgia.
