Abstract

Botman et al. reveal that IFN-γ can rapidly activate STAT3 in macrophages, forming STAT1-STAT3 heterodimers that fine-tune gene expression. This discovery uncovers a new layer of complexity in cytokine signaling and macrophage activation, broadening our understanding of immune regulation.
