Abstract
The Devubitus Standard of the NHG (Nederlands Huisartsen Genootschap; the Dutch College of General Practitioners) was achieved through cooperation between general practitioners and nursing home physicians (verpleeghuisarsten). Although the standard has been written for use in primary care, application in nursing homes seems feasible. The standard points out the possibility to consult nursing home physician should be aware of the general practitioner's method by familiarizing him or herself with the content of this standard.
