N2 - This chapter surveys literature regarding creativity in education pertaining to pedagogical thinking and application. Placing emphasis on the ontology of creativity in education, the chapter articulates teacher understandings, reasoning, and actions through creativity-promoting behaviors and teacher–student synergies that are at the heart of creative confluence. Investigating the impact of learning events that are culturally embedded, student-centered, dialogic, and democratically and participatorily charged, the chapter reflects on the creative ecology engaged and how teacher and student bring to life creative pedagogical engagement. Incorporating intra- and interrelational dynamics, the chapter positions teachers and students as co-constructors of behaviors and creativity and demonstrates how teachers’ adaptive expertise is fundamental to cultivating deeper conceptual understandings. The chapter reconceptualizes communication and participatory practices, illuminating the promotors and prevailers of creative pedagogies that support teaching and learning.
