Abstract

Sarcomatoid carcinoma of the ureter is an extremely rare and highly aggressive malignancy of the urinary tract. In the literature, this condition has been described only sporadically, resulting in a lack of specific guidelines for determining a treatment strategy. The primary treatment appears to be based on radical surgical excision. We present a case of a 73-year-old man with sarcomatoid carcinoma originating from the left ureter, containing both chondrosarcoma and osteosarcoma components.
