Abstract
We investigated the interrater reliability of a Dutch semi-structured interview for the Hamilton Depression Rating Scale. An interviewer-observator design was used, and the results were compared with a recent publication. The results suggest that the use of a semi-structured interview facilitates the reliable application of the Hamilton scale, especially by raters without clinical experience.
