Research interests

M.E.D. Chamuleau, MD PhD is an internist-hematologist with specific expertise in high-grade B-cell Non-Hodgkin lymphoma.

She is chair of the national HOVON Lymphoma Working Group and chair of the internarional Burkitt Lymphoma Network.

Regarding clinical research: she is the principal investigator of 3 clinical interventional HOVON trials for patients with MYC-driven lymphoma such as double-hit lymphoma and Burkitt lymphoma (HOVON 127, 130 and 152). She is also the principal investigator of 2 non-interventional HOVON studies (HOVON 900 and 902) and supervising population-based research on lymphoma in collaboration with the IKNL (PhD D. Issa).

Regarding pre-clinical research she focuses on improving immuno-chemotherapy in high grade B-cell Non-Hodgkin lymphomas by using hexabodies and duobodies (post-doc H. van der Horst), by MYC modulation (PhD A.V. de Jonge), response monitoring by liquid biopsies (PhD S. Wang), and development of fitter CAR T cells (PhD T. Knol).
