Research interests
My research mainly focusses on neuropsychiatric symptoms in people with dementia.
It covers epidemiological questions (incidence/prevalence/course and riskfactors of neuropsychiatric symptoms) and studies about interventions (pharmacological and non-pharmacological): which interventions work and why and under which circumstances.
Other imprtant rsearch topics are geronto-palliative care, infections in long term care adn research in (postgraduate) medical education in medicine for older people.
