Research interests

I am currently an assistant professor at the department of psychiatry at the Amsterdam University Medical Centers (AUMC). My current research themes are: 1) the causality and comorbidity between substance use and psychiatric disease, with a focus on (genetic) causal methods, 2) sex differences in mental health, and the role of sex hormones in these differences, 3) gene-environment interplay for (mental) health. I am broadly interested in genetics, epidemiology, health research, and causality.
