Personal profile

Research interests

I lead the Data Hub of the Amsterdam UMC Advanced Compute and Data Core (ACDC) initiative, to enable reproducible and FAIR multi-omics and visual omics research. I also lead the data and analysis nodes of the NL-Bioimaging and EMPower Large Scale Research Infrastructures.

I am a bioinformatician, specialising in data and knowledge integration. I was involved in defining the FAIR Principles (that data should be Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and Reusable), and my research focuses on exploiting FAIR data and enabling reproducible research.
