Research interests
Since September 2017, I started to work as a postdoctoral clinical epidemiologist in the group of prof. dr. Tom van der Poll. My projects entail data analyses linking clinical and molecular data. Main research aims are:
1) Epidemiology and host response to infection regarding the source of infection and linked pathogens.
2) Gene-expression biomarker discovery to diagnose pathogen-specific infections in the intensive care.
3) Predicting the course of sepsis-associated kidney failure.
