I am an assistant professor in the Department of Public and Ocupational Health. My work involves using a multi-omics approach to better understand the underlying biological mechanisms and disease pathways in diabetes, hypertension, and cardiovascular diseases among different ethnic groups. Specifically, I aim to integrate data from multiple sources, including genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, and metabolomics, with clinical and phenotypic data to identify novel biomarkers and therapeutic targets that can be used to develop personalized treatments for patients.
By combining these different types of data, I aim to gain a more comprehensive understanding of the molecular basis of these diseases, and to identify patient-specific factors that can influence disease progression and treatment response. Ultimately, I hope that my work will contribute to the development of more effective and personalized treatments for these chronic diseases, which affect millions of people worldwide.
