Research interests
Dr. Eva Bolt is assistant professor in primary palliative care.
She aims to make palliative care available in an early stage for all patients who can benefit, by empowering patients, improving transmural collaboration and strengthening primary palliative care.
Her research focuses on interventions that facilitate early initiation of a palliative care approach, timely transition from curative to palliative care, continuity of end-of-life care and improving death literacy among patients, caregivers and society at large. She is a leading expert on the topic of voluntary stopping eating and drinking.
She is a practicing GP and Board Member of the Network of Palliative Care Amsterdam-Diemen.
