Research interests
My focusof research is the treatment of Major Depressive Disorder, and especially when patients do not respond to first and second line treatment (treatment resistant depression).
In order to better understand and quantify the brain mechanisms underlying treatment resistant depression, I use neuroimaging approaches like SPECT and fMRI.
Besides I am interested in using neuroimaging as a tool for inprovement of diagnosis in psychiatry, again focussed on mood disorders like Major Depressive Disorder and Bipolar Disorder
