Research interests

My lab is interested in understanding the molecular mechanisms allowing neurons to adapt their activity level in order to ensure network homeostasis. We focus our research on the adaptations occuring at the level of the axon intial segment.

To unravel the molecular mechanisms controlling the axon intial segment organization and re-roganization during plasticity, we combine genome engineering with live- and super resolution imaging in cultured rodent and human iPSC-derived neurons. This allows us to image the nanoscale organization of the building blocks of the axon initial segment and their dynamics during plasticity.
