This is an article that has been published in the August 2024 issue of the BJA Education. I'll briefly introduce the authors of the article.
Dr. Jorinde Polderman is a consultant pediatric anesthetist at the Amsterdam University Medical Centers, with a clinical research focus on the perioperative management of diabetes. Dr. Jorinde Hermanides is a professor of anesthesiology and perioperative metabolism and a consultant anesthetist at the Amsterdam University Medical Center. Abraham Hulst is a consultant anesthetist at the Amsterdam University Medical Center and a post-doctoral researcher with a clinical research focus on perioperative management of diabetes.
